Tbh I just wanted to salvage the thread, and have somewhat of an interesting discussion towards the topic. In any case, the statements no natural disasters are coming were made, with a firm tone, back before Seasons was released, so those two are exceptions that prove the rule. And stuff getting knocked over by the wind.Įarthquakes in the game generally have no long-term effects, and meteor showers themselves are extremely limited to the point of being unrealistic in how much damage they do (a meteor the size of a large meteor in the game would, in real life, probably destroy a square mile or more of land). I think at least power outages during a storm would be interesting. Also meteors are natural disasters so them devs must be talking out the side of they neck :v We've got earthquakes :P Sure they're lamely tied just to the firefighter profession but natural disaster nonetheless. Living through such things is not fun, they are scary when you don't know if your house will be hit or if you are going to get caught up in a hurricane or tornado if you can not get to safety in time. Plus a lot of people who play the sims that like to build would be very upset if their house got destroyed in one of the natural disasters. But as Tanya has already said, EA has already said no to this. If EA was gonna to do this then they would have already done it in the Seasons ep. Obviously there would be clothes and new rescue services could be incorporated. The limited edition would come with survival kits and other things. In lifetime rewards you could buy things to make your house immune to certain disasters. Disasters like tornados,floods,volcanoes,earthquakes etc would occur.
